Another Stereotype of the Month entry:
Dear Blue Corn Comics,
As an Anishinaabeqwe, I am outraged by the "sexy Indian princess" fad in Halloween costumes. There was a post on a discussion group that I subscribe to that lists just of few of the "Halloween Indian Costumes" that are for sale on ebay.
There is no way to contact them to complain unless you give them a credit card number. Please expose this disrespect of Indigenous women. I would like to enter ebay in your stereotype of the month contest.
If you go to www.ebay.com and type in "Squaw" or "Indian costume" in the search box you will find thousands of these:

Since eBay removes items after 90 days, the links are no longer valid.
The Stereotype of the Month contest has featured Indian costumes for Halloween and other occasions in the past. You can find them in costume shops and on costume websites. These eBay auctions are only the tip of the iceberg.
