Stereotype of the Month Entry
(1/22/06)

Another Stereotype of the Month entry:

A typical cartoon strip showing the Inuit (Eskimos) in parkas near an igloo. Actually, they wouldn't wear heavy coats while playing basketball, and they wouldn't build an igloo near the water. Thus the two items (parkas and igloo) are stereotypes, not realistic depictions of Inuit life.
